i second this because its quite frustrating.
Considering the focus on this site is artwork rather than social networking, I doubt this will be added any time soon.

that sounds good too.
Whose idea was it to give you a greeting in a different language each time you view your account?I enjoy that thing immensely!I love how this site is run and don't plan on leaving it any time soon.Although it could be a bit more colorful. All blue can be a bit...strange..at times.I'm not saying that it should be a very strange variety of colors(Nothing like having the background blue and the foreground red then the text yellow. That would just be annoying)Just something with a tad more contrast. With maybe a gradient as the background?(I know this would effect loading speeds)I've always realized that people tend to leave sites with darker colors as the backgrounds.I'm guessing that it makes them feel as if they are in a scary place (In this case they would think of a virus filled site) seeing as scary places are usually accomadated with the dark. It's just a suggestion. And as for being notified when a post of yours has been commented on or you have been qouted:You could add a tab in the top left corner of the page that would turn red when you have been quoted or one of your posts have been commented on.Then when you click on it it would bring down a drop down list of things that could say things such as"XXXXX Has commented on your post"OR"XXXXX Has quoted something you said."And the words POST and SOMETHING would be linked to the specific post or quote specified by the text such as on Furnation.I understand that these are things meant more for social sites but they really could make this site much more easy to use.If you do intend on making this site even more social I would consider adding a chat room. Those are the only things I can think of that could possibly make this site any better than it already is.(Unless you could find a way to make it come with candy).I truly appreciate the work that you put into this site and find it a very nice place to be.I just created this account yesterday and I must say,you have done a great job at making this site easy to navigate.I understand that you all work very hard on this site and I find it very enjoyable. Please keep up the hard work!We all appreciate it and wish you good luck!BLINX FOREVER! There are word here, and I think they're in English, but I can't for the life of me decipher them.

I don't see anything that should be hard to understand. After all,I spent 30 mins writing it.It'll take awhile to make it into something thats comprehendable.
Paragraphs help immensely with readability. Go rewrite it so there's one idea per paragraph and people might actually read it.
Most sites are dark because it's easier on the eyes.

As does using spaces after full stops...

I was so distracted by the wall of text I didn't even notice that.
If it were well-formatted, foreigners might be able to translate it. By obfuscating it, he's protecting our website from espionage by those who want to make their websites as good as this one.
"help:sourcing" vs. "howto:source"

Just thought you might like to know.
edit:
Are "help:sourcing" and "howto:source" supposed to contain different kinds of information?
How about enabling voting on flagged images (not deleted)? Sometimes the flagger is just stupid. Also just hide the final score on deleted posts since it doesn't matter.
Why is the site upside down?

Agreed. I for one don't like having to go through all of the post I've commented on (most of which I cant remember) to see if anyone has quoted me on a comment

Have you guys ever thought about searching your names in the comments? It pretty much does what you want already.

The help:posts page was something I made as part of a project I started a while ago. Didn't get very far after I lost the drive to continue, though. The help:sourcing page was a part of said project, as well.
As for your question, no. They were meant to contain the same sort of information. Guess I just forgot the former page was there.
There's a metric fuckton of 500 internal server errors.
Congrats on breaking the site, Aurali.

Nope, usage growth has exceeded site capacity, gotta let someone else know.

So that is what's happening. I was wondering
I wouldn't mind having the ability to edit my posts back if it's all the same to you guys.
Good job everywhere else, though.
(Edit: I look. I can edit these. Perhaps it's just the comments, then.)

That would make it very hard to hold users accountable for things they've said. If we get onto them about their comments, they'd be able to just go back and change them and deny it. They can hide their comments, but they're still visible to us.

That's what happened on the Day of Defeat forums a few years back.
Trolls would post something, wait for angry replies and then change their original post to someting harmless. Purpose: to make the repliers look like complete dicks.

Well e621 is 100% Troll Free™, so you don't need to worry about that here, no sir!
