RULE UPDATE: Please consult the following thread for an important update, effective immediately, to the site's "Tag What You See" rule: http://e621.net/forum/show/67138

Site Update: We've temporarily disabled the tag sidebar on the post index (when searching) since it seems to be the cause of the performance problem. It'll be back soon once we fix or rewrite it.

A reminder: When flagging a post for deletion (except if its for DNP or against posting rules), please make sure it has a parent for the favorites to be transferred to. Information on how to flag is here and information on how to parent can be found here

Okay, who's Mr. Funny, then?

OT: I can see why that might be a problem, although I was under the impression, and will happily be corrected if mistaken, that there was an ability for Mods and Admin on some sites to see the history of a post. Thus making Troll plans ineffective and smelly.

Of course my only reason for wanting this would be to correct any spelling mistakes I make. I suppose I'll just have to man up and proof read my comments, then.

I haven't implemented comment history. It just doesn't seem that important when you can just hide any typos and repost.

I dunno... that seems to go against my whole "being Lazy" mentality. I'll give it a shot.
Thanks for the replies, people.

Not sure where else to put this but I noticed "Horn" is included with an antlers tag, it's not a big deal but horns and antlers are different things. I tried removing horn but it kept redoing itself :p

What is the job task used for?

Just a suggestion:

For morons, such as myself, who have transgressed with miss-clicks on report when meaning to respond, perhaps the report button could be red?

Just wanted to say thanks for the

They're really useful in preventing Walls O' Text

The Cheat sheet needs changing since it says

Cheat sheet said:
parent:1234
Search for posts that have 1234 as a parent (also includes post 1234)

The (also includes post 1234) part is not true anymore

Fixed in the next update.

I second this.

Your tagging system amazing and one of a kind.

Even though we passed 200 000 quite a while ago, just wanted to say thanks to all the active administrators & moderators that work hard every day to keep e621 alive

You all are awesome!

If I hide the news, does it come back when it updates?

Yes. You have to re-hide the news after every update.

Yeah, it's amazing how well-tagged things are here.

My feedback on an admin: I've been having a slight problem with null0010, running around and retagging every shota picture (at least most of them) with female and removing the shota tag. its very annoying, and frankly I think it's trolling.

It was due to an implication bug. Maybe you should do more factchecking before you go around calling our staff trolls.

One thing I noticed about the new stats listed on the thumbnails. Votes and faves have the arrows/hearts listed before the numbers, while comments have the C after the numbers. It's obviously barely a problem, but it's just a consistency thing that sets off my inner sperglord.

The site itself is too complex, yes, not the tagging. In fact I've been pushing for MORE complexity with tagging via "tag groups", so that if people want to be guaranteed to find only female foxes and such, they can.

I can't think of any instance where I've said that our tagging is too complex. :|

I wanted to thank the people that makes this site a great site. This is my first "input" into the community, even if I have been lurking around for a while now. I'd be happy to be more of an active member, but I'm afraid I don't know where to begin.
On a sidenote, english is not my mothertongue (can you guess what it is ?), so feel free to be grammar naziesque.

AWw... you are SO sweet <3 <3 <3
It's people like you who make this place great :D
If you want to start helping, a lot of it is taking part in discussions about tagging on the forums, tagging pictures yourself, uploading etc :)

Most peopel start with tagging... the 'tagging projects' forum is a bit stale at the moment, but there's always something around in the forums that needs doing :) just jump on in. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions, need advise, or even just a pointer in the right direction :)

That is really nice :) I feel welcome !
I will follow your advice and start with tagging, after exploring the forums a bit.
