Flags are made by users, not staff. Don't put so much stock into them. They aren't always correct.
Sometimes I do wonder if flag information really needs to be shown so prominently to regular users. The only reason to see it would be to prevent duplicate flags, which I'm pretty sure are already prevented by the system.
I've seen so many times where users somehow manage to interpret it as something a staff member has done (if they were staff why wouldn't they just delete it???) and complain about it in the comments, the forums or even going as far as Discord.

Duplicate flags are not prevented beyond user per post daily
The option vanishes from the sidebar, but other users can still very much make flags while a post is flagged
