Topic: How do I see what comment a moderation action was taken on?

First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I wasn't sure what part of the Forums to post it on and the moderation action said to ask here if I had a question

I got a moderation notice saying that I should stop with the creep comments or I'd get banned. It doesn't link to any comment and I don't think I've said anything particularly creepy. How can I tell what post the admin was referring to? I'd rather not get banned

If you go to your profile, you'll see a little "feedback" link in the top right. Click it.

Thanks. I did that, and it shows the moderation event telling me to not be creepy, but there's no link to the offending comment. :(

Mod actions like that are between you and the staff and if you have a question that should be handled in private because it's none of our business. I can tell you there have probably been many threads about what is/isn't a creepy comment and a quick search should lead you to more clarification on that in general.

If you click "source" it'll take you to your page, where you can see the very first comment has a mod edit done to it.

The mod action says to ask in the forum if I have any questions :(

that comment does not seem bad enough to get an instant negative. lukewarm observations (maybe arguably complaints) of user behavior might be enough to get a ding, but, not a negative for a first offense... especially not one with that kind of wording.

also, I don't see how it's breaking the inappropriate comments rule at all. I mean, mentioning pedophilia and self-harm on a post containing a character who's explicitly shown to be a pedophile in previous pages cutting himself with a razor blade while he's got his dick in a child-looking dude's ass.

isn't that new staff trying out their powers

and there are a couple other comments that weren't noted that may have the same tone as the latest one

yeah, looking at Versp's mod actions, judging by claimed tickets it's probably this comment, that was the cause, which is much more understandable reason to leave a negative record than the self-harm comment.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll make some adjustments and train up the new moderator with this in mind. Sometimes it's very obvious from this side of the glass, but less so to the users.

Thanks, I forgot to mark that comment in particular as I got side tracked. The reason I linked to your comment history instead of just the comment Dba afish mentioned is you've been coasting the line quite a bit. The other comment that shows me updating it, I hid initially but after reading it again I better understood what your intentions with the comment were and realized I acted too soon on that one, so sorry about that.
