Images or animations distorted by an actual or simulated lens effect that causes lines normally vertical and horizontal to become curved, giving the image a "round" appearance. This effect is sometimes used to make more of the area visible without pulling the "camera" back. It can also be used to emphasise the centre of the image and, in turn, the subject there.
