The guy ate the beads slowly after purging and cleaning his system, and fed them through till they popped out the other side.
Impossible to do, but fun in concept/fantasy I suppose.

Not impossible. Brother of artist Robert Crumb did it. With a rope. Some sort of internal cleansing ritual.
