That depends on whether it's sharp enough to cut the throat/sever the head, or dull, but strong enough to suffocate the target.

In the game Agent 47 uses it to strangle them. He always has it, it's like his basic weapon he uses. So it's a bit of his trademark weapon.

Heh I've only played Hitman 2 and didn't have the patience for it, but then again I was a little kid without much patience. I might pick up a copy. Hitman 2 was good, even though I was crap.
