General: gay
The term "gay" is slang for homosexual, sexual behaviour or attraction between two or more individuals of the same gender.
For clarity's sake on e621, the tag "gay" is only to be applied to images or animations which specifically depict male homosexuality; images depicting female homosexuality should be tagged with "lesbian".
Notes:
- This does not include "gender-swapped" characters or intersexed characters of any definition. Only characters that are entirely male go under this category.
- Even if a character's personal sexual orientation is bisexual, if he is only engaging sexually with other males in the specific image in question, it should still be tagged gay instead of bisexual.
- This also applies to images depicting heterosexual males being raped by other males.
- Although it has a stigma of being inherently homosexual, anal_masturbation (alone) does not imply homosexuality in and of itself; such images should not be given any orientation tag at all.
