It's complicated. It sounds like it still contested in the legislature. Some lawmakers want it to go by your biological sex. NC has been having much more discussion about it and similar bills have been introduced in SC. Best bet, go by birthcert, or look for gender neutral bathrooms if any. That or go at home before going out.
