the sun's gravity might affect you though, e.g. if you jump during the day vs. during the night

@bipface: Dont forget the moon. The moons own gravity affects the tides and stuff. The sun does affect us to a very miniscule degree. Tidal force plays a role here. Pretty sure you jump higher during the day.
