Ads are actually the worst way to find play there, doubly so if you aren't yourself offering something extremely popular. Everybody is automatically posting them in the same places over and over without actually looking at the other ads, and even if you want to respond to ads, there's no search system for ads so you just have to read them as they appear in real-time.
