If a post is from Pixiv, and has been deleted from Pixiv, but SauceNAO still has a link to the deleted post
like post #1216860
is it ok to add that link to the source field?

Pixiv might not be the best example, but links to other sites contain information, like image titles and character names.

Probably because it's in a quote block. Nothing changed with that except it got moved into this section. Editing sources to valid ones (even if they have been deleted in the meantime) are fine as long as no currently valid sources are overwritten in the process. Meaning replacing a working source to FA with a dead one from pixiv is bad, but adding a dead source to a post without sources is fine.

How does allowing known convicted felons on the site endanger our users? These people were deemed safe to sit next to you on the bus, but not on a website?

Partially what Munkelzahn said, but on the other hand the rates at which convicted felons of arson or manslaughter go back to committing the exact same crimes is pretty high. Standard prisons are not very effective at rehabilitation.
