Reason:

Choking is currently implied to asphyxiation. There is a very specific wiki page for asphyxiation that reads as a very intense, life-threatening situation.

choking does not need to be so intense. As at least one of ten images on this site are sexual in nature, there is a lot of room for more gentle play-choking done in the bedroom, or even some aggressive choking done in a non-consensual image that doesn't rise to the point of the recipient's life actually being in danger.

'choking' can mean a lot of things, but so can 'intercourse' & we all know that someone typing 'intercourse' into the search bar here isn't looking for two roads crossing.

'choking' should be left as it is to someone restricting the airway of another through external pressure, whether or not that rises to the level where there is a danger of death.

gagging is for restricting the airway from within the throat, but it's also not fit to imply asphyxiation - choking on a fat horse cock for a few seconds is hardly the description put on the asphyxiation wiki page.
