Topic: Tag Alias: thigh_boots -> thigh-high_boots

Aliasing thigh_boots → thigh-high_boots
Link to alias

Reason:

Wiki definitions at thigh_boots and thigh_high_boots seem to be about same thing.
And boots tagged with thigh boots look the same as the boots tagged with thigh high boots (ie. same length-range).

(see error section at bottom of this forum post)

Suggest alias both thigh_boots AND thigh_high_boots
TO thigh-high_boots. (10 posts)
Wikipedia article titled Thigh-high_boots https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thigh-high_boots )

thigh_boots wiki says "Boots that reach a character's thigh."

Wording seems to vague to me. So the boot reaches, but doesn't cover any part of the thigh?

thigh high boots wiki says "Boots that are designed to cover the entire leg up to the thigh. Sometimes articulated at the knee, but not always."

Wording also seems to vague to me. Does "cover the entire leg up to the thigh" mean 100% of the leg is covered
OR up to, but not including the thigh (the latter length would be knee-high boots).

Suggest wording be more like :
"A thigh-high boot is a boot with a length that covers leg up to at least mid-thigh (thigh is leg area between the knee and the hips)."

re suggestion error

Tried to suggest alias of thigh_boots TO thigh_high_boots
but got error
"Error: thigh_high_boots is already aliased to something"
(which is partially correct,
suggestion of thigh_high_boots -> thigh_highs was made at forum #212042 , but has not been approved because
1) there are other kinds of thigh_highs.
and
2) person who made the Alias suggestion thought they were making an Implication suggestion.)
