I had this account open and now I want to learn how to use it. Is there a specific way to update artists, such as changing their notes?

Do you mean artist info? Try clicking the ? next to their tag on one of their pictures. Gets you to a page like this: https://e621.net/artist/show?name=salkitten, which can be updated through the Edit button up above.

(or you could just alter this URL to get there I suppose ;) )

Thank you so much! It can be difficult to find things when you're someone like me who's not used to navigating newer sites :P
