I had planned on commissioning what I mentioned in the comments of post 500,000 - But recent events have pretty much made that impossible. Would have been fun to make that the millionth post.

conversely; it looks like the homepage post counter is a whole 40,000 posts out. Something's wrong with it!

This counter doesn't include deleted posts. Also, it's both off from reality(It's not always incremented/decremented when a post is added/deleted.) but there are situations where the post id can go up without a post being successfully created. This creates an ever growing skew between the post id and the actual post count.

Both posts before and after the thing were million times better... At least it wasn't bad.

Oh well, this is one of those things that everyone hypes, then forgets next day anyway, maybe someone random bumping into it year later and realizing the thing. Just like saying "first" when it's new year on all IRC channels connected.

So the millionth post is just a vanilla MLP post. Shame, wished it was something horrible/nasty.
