Reason:

afaik, tag names aren't supposed to contain characters that aren't part of the regular US ASCII set.

but ä cannot be replaced with a because they are completely different letters and they represent completely different sounds. the correct way to replace it is saeikky.

+1 for a reverse.

I don't think any browsers or devices will have any problems showing characters with common diacritics. The whole thing about nonstandard characters appears to be more about tags like ♥.

I've seen Führer spelled as Fuhrer
And it looks better than Fuehrer
