so i went to the chat section on the website, but for some unknown reason i got automatically banned from the e621 chatroom before i even said anything, can someone tell me why?

Someone with your hostname is currently banned from the channel.

As of now, your hostname has been unbanned. You may join.

That ban was a bit too much of a blanket ban, I've removed it and you should be able to join now.

If you question about the existence of the Chat tab, I might as well mention that it's a lot more pleasant to use an IRC client for that than to have that tab open.
