Topic: (NEW ARTIST) Looking for tips and tricks to boost up pageviews.

Posted under Art Talk

Hi everyone, I am ZorenHector known as ZnHc in NSFW accounts.

I am new enthusiast anthro artist who do his best to make quality content, I have extended beyond furry character interest but I am rather a vanilla artist,
BDSM; unorthodoxal fluid kinks (scat, watersports, etc); and certain bizarre kinks are out of my reach and interest.

And I would like to ask if you got any advices, best-practices to increase pageviews and get a stronger presence around here and other websites to unnoticed artists like myself.

And if you are interested, only suggestions are allowed, my content is available here, but I'm here only time to time, feedback and comments are appreciated but they won't be replied.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Work on your actual skills before concerning yourself with your presence. One will beget the other.

reference ≠ trace

he even links to the referenced image on both sources

You also might wanna try not tracing other people's work.

Yours
Theirs

That's not tracing, i made some modifications myself, that is derivated work, but I found fun to make an 'inverted' version, I don't have intentions of tracing works of other, that won't make me any better.

Either way, being original and creative is more respectable than being derivative. You've got skill (though it's not perfect, see post #1082982), you just need the creativity to go with it.

Thx for constructive feedback mate, appreciated, and your right, be creative, I'm keenly aware of that, just being derivative is fun time to time, an artist also have right to relax.

^^^^^^^^

A million times this. I've seen too many peeps be like "Follow me on FA, Twitter, etc.!" when their drawings are bad quality scribbles.

As for getting noticed:

ADVERTISE YOURSELF

Advertising is the MOST important aspect in any type of business. That's what an advertisement is for, to spread awareness of your business. If you don't advertise, you are not getting potential customers aside from friends or locals. It's very rare to see businesses thrive without advertisements.

But like Ratte said, perfect your craft first. Once it's near perfect, then you can start advertising it. Better to advertise a fully-made cake than to advertise it when it's still cooking in the oven

Oh yeah, that's me.

"Check out my instagram!:
"Look at my ironically-named website!"
"PLEASETIPmyfamilyisbeingheldhostageandtheyrestartingtocutofftoes"

The admins said very important stuff,
I never meant to be those who choose quantity over quality through.

but, if I start to ad, I would have to take it seriously, starting a Patreon, taking comms, etc...
That's for later, I'm taking this easy and fun.

If you don't exactly care for meaningful pageviews, best way to increase it is basically whore yourself out like everyone else (Since everyone does it, you don't look bad from doing it)

-Post very often about how you're open for commissions and streaming
-Posts new journals often
-Draw relevant stuff that everyone on average likes (Look for the "What's popular" section on the front page)
-Go for quantity/quality for your art instead
-Try to comment on other's work as often as you can
-Watch everyone, even empty/stalking accounts (Pokefound really loves that one trick, among many others)

Copying the exact pose on another picture is okay as you start to draw, however do not let that habit get to you : This isn't good for artistic growth and people will more likely start to notice it and call you out on that

Everything you said sounds great except the thing about quantity over quality,
what i can do is to "trying" to look like an art whore, get real quiet here for a while and then post post everyday vecause i made them already, that could be a strong boost but i have to stack a lot of work first
