Topic: Can't upload webm

Posted under General

Trying to post a webm to the gallery but I keep getting 413 Request Entity Too Large. Seems like E621 is only allowing 100MB or smaller, but the file I'm trying to upload is 1080p60 and 200+MB.

I've seen AnimoPron's stuff here that's 5+ GB, so there's no reason for this NGIX error to happen, unless it's something with Apache/IIS instead.

Help?

This is the largest file uploaded containing animopron's work, as you'll see if you look at the statistics section under the tags the file is 99.8 megs, the video was downscaled to fit on here.

If you want to upload something to here you're going to have to downscale it until it fits or find some other way of reducing the filesize to under 100 megs.

How do you make a 15 minute file under 100 megs? It's still 720p and good quality/vbr, I downscaled the file I'm trying to upload to 720p30 and it's still 150MB. I'm using the YADIF/temporal/spatial interlacer with biliniar interpolation at 2Mb/s (megabits/s, not megabytes) and the libvpx-vp9 codec.

I feel like giving advice to a permabanned person is kind of pointless.

For them specifically, surely. But for others with same problem in near or far future, finding this forum thread and it ending with banned user asking specifics, you can just imagine their feelings.
