Bug overview description.
pressing and holding "space" after typing a line of text causes the line to go off screen without end.

DMail, forum thread creation & reply fields, tag "edit" field on any post, description field on any post.

What is the expected behavior?
pressing space bar at the end of a line should skip to the next line as if you had pressed the enter key.

What actual behavior is given instead?
after enting any line of text into any of these places you can hold the space bar and instead of skipping to the next line of text it will simply continue the line off-screen until you enter any text/numbet/etc.. pretty much anything other than a space.

Time of incident (if applicable).
it can happen any time you're typing in any of these spaces.

Can you reproduce the bug every time?
yes, easily

What steps did you take to replicate this bug?
see the "actual behavior is given instead" section.

Errors or other messages returned (if any).
no error messages.

i wish to test something. test... test...

hmmm... seems it doesn't show in the finished product (i press the preview button and "test... test..." is shown on the same line as "something". however, after the word "something" i held the space bar and that blinking vertical line that shows where your typing went off screen.

edit: you can see this post as an example. click reply then, on the line ending with "something.", click and drag to highlight that line and see how much you need to backspace before "test... test..." returns to that same line.

i'm not entirely sure what, if any problems this might case but i thought it was worth mentioning.

Is this even a bug or is it a normal browser behavior?

I ran a test and this seems to happen on other websites and multiple browsers. It may be OS behavior. You might as well report this to Microsoft.

I would not be surprised if this has been the way it is for over a decade and we just noticed it now.

I thought the typing cursor would go outside of the text box that's being written in.
