Topic: Is there a Skip to page.

Posted under General

I was wondering if there is a command or option to skip to a page. It can be quite tedious if you have to skip pages 4 at a time to get to post 140 out of 310. Sometimes, it's nice to see the older posts that are halfway down the list.

I tried looking at the help section, there are a lot of interesting ways to search for tags, but I didn't see anything that would let me skip to a certain page of the tags. For example; tags are "pokemon Human" and I want to go to page 160. (there are 254 pages).

Not as far as I know.
When I'm working on large projects, I usually use something like id:<(#postid)´ to keep track of where I am. Maybe something like {{pokemon human id:<500000}} would work for you. Edit: And keeping track of fast-moving tags such as Pokemon by the page number is not a good method. What used to be page 160 last month is probably page 165 now.

I don't see much use for this considering how you can specify bunch of things with search itself and settings. You can e.g. change the search to be from oldest to newest and raise the posts per page to be up to 320.

So at this point it becomes like google, you rarely need to go over the first couple pages and if you do, you most likely start thinking that maybe you might want to refine your search.

I wouldn't be opposed to having "jump to" button, there is space, but then again don't see it being useful either.

Also at least we do have several page numbers and jumping to last page, on furaffinity whenever I need to get to artists oldest image on their gallery, it's just clikcing next button for infinity with no information when it's the last page :|

If I want to skip pages, I just edit the URL.

As a random example, this is the first page of the search results for fluffy_tail:

https://e621.net/post/index/1/fluffy_tail

Here, I've modified it to link to the 55th page:

https://e621.net/post/index/55/fluffy_tail

Just change that number to go wherever you'd like.

That's exactly what I needed,I didn't think of looking up at the URL. Thanks Clawdragons. Hopefully if anyone else needed to do the same thing, they will find this forum post.
