I've gotten into making edits to some of my favorite porn pics and such and was wondering what the guidelines were for posting them. Like what the rules are, what I can and can't post and such.

I don't know if this is an official rule, but I am of the opinion that as far as edits go, permission is a must.

I differ from some other people in that I think that it's not wrong to post up art on e621 without having gotten permission first (though it may be inadvisable)... But with edits I consider there to be a stricter standard, because at that point you're not just sharing what is already freely available, but you are altering it.

Edits are allowed, but they need to be high quality. Meaning the edit should not be obvious, like a simple cut and paste, and it should not be trivial, like just cropping or adding text.

Some artists do not like their work being edited. You should check the Do Not Post list.

Always credit the original artist. If you want you may credit yourself as well.

If you show us your edits we can tell you if they're likely to be accepted or not.

I'll end up supporting the original artists and I'll only post edits that are easy to spot. I have a few gifs made too that I may post since I'm getting into making them.

Also... are those pixel animated dick edits allowed? I made like 60 of them for fun XD

Absolutely none of those throbbing, censored dick edits. That's as low quality and low effort as it comes.

Honestly the best way to know if your edits make the cut is to post one as a test and wait to see what happens.

The best way is to ask first.

None of the heavily pixelated dick edits would make the cut. The ones where you make the dick/balls just slightly bigger would probably get deleted as duplicates. The ones where you crop out everything but the dick and add some text would definitely not be approved.
