We're stuck in this tar pit forever! No seriously, you cannot cancel it. You can probably request it banned though.

We don't delete accounts. If you want to stop using it, then just stop using it.

EDIT: We also don't ban on request.

If you're trying to prevent people from recognizing your username, there's a link to change it on your home page. You could also go through any comments you've made and "hide" them so only Admins can see them.

If you're trying to keep yourself off the site, you can change your password to something you'll forget, or use something to block the site such as LeechBlock for Firefox.
