Just a curious question for people who make OCs far from humans/things with hands.
How are they supposed to tie bows, pull down pants for doing business, wash clothes, wipe smudges off goggles, etc?

Their creators use their imaginations. :)
Their creators are in-universe characters that dress animals up in clothes? Interesting.

can't speak for doggos, but cats actually have a LOT of flexibility and mobility with their paws. I mean, they're not hands with thumbs, but they can do quite a bit with them. My cat likes touching my arm to get my attention when I'm sleeping. If I ignore her, she'll extent a single claw to use to to tap against my arm as well. Anyway:
The simple answer is that animals living in an animal world would have tools designed for animals.
But we, humans in a human world, only really have reference for what human tools look like. We don't know what animal-world fasion looks like. Only human world.
So when we say "I want my char to look edgey and hardcore" we have an idea of what they should look like--in human appearance language.

Furry logic. Never question furry logic.
