Topic: [Feature] Ability to lock artist wikis

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description.

A function to prevent users from making edits to certain artist pages would be nice.

Why would it be useful?

Somewhat frequently I receive requests from artists that they'd like to not have some of their galleries linked together with their NSFW ones and it'd be easier to enforce those requests if other people can't add them back in.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?

The description field is still simply actual wiki page for the artist and wiki pages can already be locked, how does this effect editing it trough artist wiki? Also not sure why there isn't link to artist wiki on wiki pages which are for artist type tag.

Also how would it be approached if information is wrong or missing on these kind of pages? Wiki pages do have report functions, but artist wiki does not.

https://e621.net/artist/update/2715 - I can't edit the notes at my user level.

So if the wiki is locked, the artist wiki is too. The URLs can still be messed with, though. So it doesn't stop users from linking those NSFW galleries.

I'd assume the artist themself will have to request a lock to the wiki meaning that whatever info is there is going to be verified and approved by the artist. 'Missing' info/links will be more like 'omitted' info in the sense that it was left out on purpose rather than just forgotten. I'd also assume there are safeguards in place to prevent people impersonating artists and locking a wiki with bad info.
