(Im sure this has been asked a million times before.) So when I upload something that someone else already did that I wasn't aware of, I can delete it before I get a strike against my account.

flag it for deletion with the reason being that it is a repost.

Where is the option to do that? I don't quite see it on the page of the image. Its just under history.

also I know its a little off-topic but you should use the e621 image search to verify something has not been posted yet link

Under "Options," you should see "Flag for deletion."

You can't delete submissions as a normal user. Flag for deletion with a suitable reason.

What are you trying to delete and for what reason?

I have a commission pic i wanted to upload, but someone one already uploaded it before i did. So i'm trying to get deleted, even though it set for deletion, i still don't want to get a flag. Ya think you or any one else can help me with this?
