It looks like they're using Aggressive Retsuko as the copyright tag.

Bump because it's still not aliased for some reason!

I can't see why not. Aggretsuko seems to be the unofficial contraction, since japs love those, and it's not like it'll conflict with anything anytime soon.
As an aside, I'm not the only person surprised that Sanrio finally managed to make an IP other than Hello Kitty known in the West, right?

since japs love those,
Okay, really quick aside here.
Hi. I'm SnowWolf. I grew up in Hawaii. My family spent several years living in Japan, and I have several ethnically Japanese family members. I learned about Pearl Harbor in school, while the rest of WWII was more of a side topic.
"Jap" is, even if you don't mean it that way, a racial slur. It is generally considered, by Japanese Americans, to be highly offensive. This is really not a polite word to use and I beg you to reconsider using it in the future. I'm sure you don't mean it rudely, but I would hate for someone to accidentally be using a very unpleasant term.
Thank you <3

The 'full title' in Japanese pronunciation is Aguresshibu Retsuko, which is a bit of a mouthful. It's not too different from how we like shortening things either: we use apps on our phone, get soda from the fridge/// it also helps that 'Aguresshibu' isn't a japanese word. it's a borrowed english word. so Aguresshibu doesn't MEAN anything to them--and because it shares a syllable with retsuko, it meshes well and is easier to say. But they do do that a lot. :)
That said, Aggretsuko is an officially recognized name for the series-- if you go to the sanrio store, Aggretsuko is the franchise name they use.

It kinda depends: they actually have a few popular things. Just mot of them are cute characters and are just merchandise, so unless you're into 'cute animals' they don't tend to pop up on most people's radar.. also, few things are TV shows or movies, so... less accessible.
The most popular Sanrio product I've seen besides hello Kitty and Aggretsuko is Gudetama... but, I'm also over all a bit biased because I grew up near a sanrio store and grew up with Badtz-Marum, Pochacco, and keroppi, so..... :)

Necroing this but...
Aggretsuko isn't just a shortening, it's the official english-localized name of the series. See the wikipedia page for more details, maybe it's been edited since 6 years ago?
Aren't official english names preferred over other languages, when there's a difference? I think this alias should be reversed, actually, and can I can write up a BUR about that if people agree.
