Hi, I am new to sharing my content and have been posting some of it here.

I've just finished a couple of my furry wolf projects and wish to post some more but I cannot upload until my latest ones get approved.

I'm starting to believe the admins, or whoever, don't like my stuff and stopping me from uploading, I will be posting all my best stuff here to try get some pateron publicity so I can continue publishing.

Can someone please explain how the approval thing works, they've been waiting for approval for 4 days so far.

As of currently the site only has 11 janitors to over 300k members, The site has between 1000 - 2000 images uploaded some days and it is just impossible for them to get to them all quickly. An image has 30 days before it is automatically removed from e621 if not approved, so they ask for your patience as they do this when they have time and have no income from it.

Don't we still run janitor trials or has that not happened for a while?

They need to approve my images quick because they're waiting for 4-14 days.. -_-

I love how some people just... seems to assume that we're sitting around doing nothing all day. :/

Did you know some of your janitorial staff have full time jobs?
Did you know that some of your janitorial staff are attending college?
Did you know that some of us have "families" and "lives" to attend to?
Did you know that we, too, are vulnerable to things like "the common cold" and "the flu"?

Did you know that in the last week or two, we have had some HUGE tagging projects going on that are quietly making e621 a much better place?

The newest janitor was added right before Christmas, while the other was added at the start of november.

PSST.. that means if you want to be a janitor and help out, also free of paycheck, get out there and start doing stuff. Tag things. post things. upload better versions. write wikipages. just help.

Basically, like Versperus said, there are only a couple people and a few thousand pictures a day. There's a *lot* going on behind the scenes right now. I don't see anything overtly wrong with your posts, so I imagine they'll get approved soon enough. That said, 3d graphics are not an area I feel comfortable working in, so I'll let someone with more familiarity approve those.

basically: we normally approve almost everything within 3-ish days, but we're experiencing a bit of a traffic jab due to a number of reasons. I promise we'll get to you soon. <3

You don't have any pending posts. They've either been approved for a while, or you're lucky in that 2-3 staff members swooped down and approved/denied everything you had pending in the last hour or so.

Your job is to make sure things work, which is probably the most invisible job ever. Everyone sees a broken lightbulb, no one sees the 999 working ones. Seriously, thanks for keeping this place up and running ^.^

Obviously the approvers we have here are hardworking, but we need more post approvers. The amount of images posted vs number of approvers is honestly pretty crazy and, I'd imagine, overwhelming.

the admins need to be absolutely sure that the user has excellent grasp of the quality standards, what makes image superior or inferior, and what is allowed content and what is not before promoting them to janitor's rank. e621 is not exactly filled that kind of people.

It is pretty overwhelming sometimes, but we generally do pretty good. I did the math a couple months ago and I believe I figured that most pictures were approved within 2-3 days, with a handful of posts lingering for longer. Admitedly, that was the results on THAT day in mid october looking back at the last week...

Y'know what? I feel like playing with numbers.

and for those of you who like graphs

As you can see, we are currently running a few days behind. (see prior statement about LIVES and HEALTH and FAMILIES), but the vast majority of pending images are taken care of within 6 days.

And for some scale... on 01-27, 948 images were posted. on 01-26, there were 886 posted.... so... we're still approving around 60% of posts quite quickly. Today, we've had 539 posted.. so.. yeah. about 60% are approved nearly right away.

So, there's not a massive log jam of thousands of pictures, stretching back weeks and weeks.

I promise, we are keeping an eye on who the good people are and we grab them when we can. Not everyone *wants* the extra responsibility, either.

If you think someone is under appreciated or would make a good janitor, I'm sure a well placed DM to Nimmy would be appreciated. :)
