How do I go about changing artist's tag to a newer name? I used to go by Invader Pichu (tag is InvaderPichu) but now I go by Insane Proxy. I hardly ever use this site, so I dunno how to go about making this change.

You can suggest a tag alias here: https://e621.net/tag_alias/new. Once approved it will replace the old tag with the new one.

Up at the top, click the "Tags" link, then aliases, then suggest. Or, click here
Type in one older tag into the first box, then the newest one into the second. In the third, explain the reasoning.

If you had other names as well, edit it after submitting to include mention of them (If you try to submit it with them, you'll end up making the alias page show the related ones, which can trick people into thinking they were already approved when only the first one was).

You can either manually change the artist tags by removing "invaderpichu" and adding in "artist:insane_proxy" in the individual posts.

Or like what the others have said, submit a tag alias request to merge the two tags together.

Hello, I'm in a bit of a wuss. I don't seem to be able to tag myself as an artist in my posts and one of the two posts, even if it still gets counted as "existent", just disappeared.

Edit: never mind the tag, I managed to change it, but I still wanna know why one of my two posts just vanished...

Re-edit: ok, I managed to understand why the other post got deleted:

No actual source that links to the actual image that got deleted, so all I can say is that this isn't usually the site for minimalistic images.

Generally speaking, we don't usually accept minimalism. Minimalism is a hard thing to do very well.

Ultimately, while your picture looks pretty neat! I don't think it crosses that threshold!

The reason for this is that its' not really... even. It's inconsistent.

Like, the highlight on the hair looks neat! but it's also got some fine linework done, while the rest of the picture doesn't. There's a border in some places, but not evenly. The arm over <-- is the worst about it. there's no outline in some places, and a lot of outline in others. The outline along the --> thigh is super thick. It's just.... a bit messy feeling.

No offence intended, just, it doesn't meet our quality standards. We're not a personal gallery, we're an art archival website.

I want to change an artist tag to their most accurate name (xxmioxx -> mi-eau) but I get the following:
Error: A tag alias for mi-eau already exists

Is there another way to do so ?
