Adding "author tags" to the artist tag section. To help if you know what author made the story for an image, but do not know the artist of the image.

For example if X made a story and Y made an image for it, but you only know about X's story. Then you could search for "X_(author)" and find the image's that relate to their stories, including the picture by Y.

the only reason I don't like this is due to the fact of the large probability of people taking this as an invite to add their fan fictions to posts with this tag.

I think for authors it's more appropriate to create set for the author, and thus if someone wants to find an image with stories regarding an author they can look up set:author_name and the artist associated.

Our tags are not for text in any way. The artist tags are purely there for the image itself. Even story_in_description is already a concession.

On the other hand the search already supports searching the description. You can do something like desc:author story_in_description to find all posts with a story in the description, and those which description contain the word "author". Replace author with a name and you find any credited stories by that author.
