hey all, i posted most of the same on reddit... but since i got my data from here, i figured i should post it here too.

so, me and a friend of mine had a funny thought yesterday, "i wonder how many posts certain pokémon have on e621?"
chasing that endeavor, i made a google sheet covering the amount of posts (as of 6 june 2019) every single pokémon has on e621 up to sun & moon (don't plan on doing sword & shield until it comes out). once all was said and done, i found some interesting data.
the pokémon with the most posts are:

1. Lucario, making up roughly 4% of all pokémon posts on e621
2. Pikachu
3. Gardevoir
4. Umbreon
5. Eevee
6. Charizard
7. Braixen
8. Lopunny
9. Zoroark
10.Glaceon

and the unfortunate pokémon with the least are:

1. Klang, making up only 0.003%
2. Crabominable
3. Boldore
4. Dewpider
5. Tirtouga
6. Ferrothorn
7. Skrelp
8. Hippopotas
9. Whirlipede
10.Kricketot

a few other cool things:
- the most common Type is Fire, while the least common is Flying.
- Sylveon's, a Fairy type, posts make up roughly 78% of the total Fairy types on e621. ( 3,429 / 4,387 )
- a given pokémon will have an average of 323.16 posts featuring them.
- there are 38,229 posts featuring Fire types on e621

all of this data and a little more is on a google sheet. i'd post the link, but as far as i can see i don't think that's allowed. if it is though and i didn't read the rules thoroughly enough, please correct me and i'll fix it if i can.

sorry if this seems a little redundant, but i am a little excited to share the data. ^^

The only one in the top 10 I'm surprised about is Zoroark. I don't think i have seen that many Zoroark posts.

Now all we are missing is the shiny popularity list.
