Topic: Reporting Good Behavior

Posted under General

I was wondering what kinds of good behavior should users be reported for? The e6 rules don't (as far as I can tell) cover that.

As far as I can tell, users that have made a noticeable effort to improve / contribute to the site. Bunches of valid uploads, a good amount of useful alias/implication suggestions, tagging ect.

but then the question becomes: What is a good number of alias/implication suggestions, uploads tag edits ect?

This is me personally,

I generally go by valid post to deleted post ratio if I'm going to report someone for uploads

If I'm going to report someone for tagging I would go by how high their tag count is and how many tags they add per edit usually (i.e. you can have a high tag edit count, but it climbs fast when you're only tagging one tag at a time)

And as far as alias/implications if I saw someone frequently on forums giving good valid tag suggestions, and those tag suggestions get integrated into the site more oft than not I'd call that a worth while report.

There is also people whom spend time making these in-depth wikis which is probably one of the more unsung hero tasks done on site.

Those are just things I would look for anyways if I think someone should deserve recognition

If an admin sees this forum, could they please sticky it and clarify on what qualifies and what should be reported as good behavior so the userbase of the future knows that reporting someone for good behavior is something they can do? I feel as though this action is something that would be forgotten.

I tend to disregard the ratio of deleted posts against valid ones. Often it's out of the uploaders hands. An artist could decide to go DNP. Simply being a user during the Tumblr Higher Resolution Purge would cause a prolific user to gain a bunch of deleted posts.

Other than that Vers made some good points. In general you just need to keep an eye out for users posting a lot, tagging a lot, engaging in meaningful discussion on the forums, adding tons of translations, tag wiki information etc. etc.

Another thing to look out for when reporting is whether the user has already been looked over by the mods. For example I was gonna report user #270453 for being so prolific with his uploads, but the mods had already given him a cookie just a week ago.
