Browsing earlier I noticed a lot of old favorite posts have vanished, annoyingly, and while sifting around to figure out if a tag I was searching has changed (intersex) I realized there's actually far less posted now with the tag 'Absol'. The common factors I can find in the missing posts seems to be that they're mostly within the last few years, they in some way may have been caught up in the intersex/transgender tagging discussion and changes as they were oft tagged 'dickgirl' or 'herm', and they were anthro. At first I wondered if it was a hitch in the tagging alias changes that caused some number of intersex/TG posts to be hidden, but that last bit was odd as a good number of typical female bodied posts are gone too.

Call it a memory guess from a frequently searched tag, but I'd like to know what happened if possible. Did a number of artists mass takedown in protest of the tagging changes to 'andromorph' and 'gynomorph'? Has Nintendo creeped it's recent copyright sprees here in part for some strange reason, or were artists forced to take down their Pokémon posts from that? Or has ir jist been a slow trickle of general takedown requests and DNPs while I wasn't looking?

It's more likely that a lot of your favorite absol pics were from a sole artist that took down artwork, I doubt there will be any protest to term changes like this one so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

If it was older artwork that has disappeared there is also the possibility of it being replaced with better versions, making them farther up the posted date latter

The only big absol intersex takedown I could find was from three years ago.
But there's barely any intersex absol art in general so I have no idea what you're on about.

Wynter has since entered a conditional DNP so that public works can be uploaded again, but I imagine they'd have to contact the staff about restoring the old works, so as to avoid upsetting them.

Maybe you're thinking of mega_absol, which is a separate tag?

Alright so mixed replies here, but no, I'm aware of and not counting Wyntersun's Shyama, nor was it "just a lot by one artist". In fact, most of them were by artists I couldn't recount by name, they're either Asia-area or not "popular artists". I wouldn't know what the deletion reasons are, to me they're entirely "missing" @MyNameIsOver20charac. And MagnusEffect, I'm curious what tool you're using? I couldn't figure out a way to search takedowns by tag or anything.

In hindsight, MAYBE it was me forgetting my old ~Absol ~Mega_Absol" search, but I still can't find some things.
