Topic: What is the difference?

Posted under General

This topic will discuss tags that seem similar and the differences between them. For Instance, for the first one, what is the difference between herm and maleherm? They both have a penis and a vagina so what separates one from the other? How does one know to tag one picture maleherm and the other, herm? You get the point

Because herm specifically means female body with penis attached above pussy, so if the character is more masculine and lacks breasts, then it's maleherm instead. Altough I can definitely see many tagging maleherm with just herm.

Both have set of anus, pussy and penis, yes, but it's what's above those, body shape and breasts, which determine which one is used.

There's lot of slang and linguistics around non-male/non-female character, because there's so many rising up from fantasy material it's unreal. With japanese medium there's also word futanari, where there's differend words for the character if they have balls or not. Then you throw in real world trans people and you have perfect mix of confusion.

Maleherm characters have penises and vaginas, but also lack breasts. Their physical form is male, they just happen to have both a penis and a vagina, similar to how andromorphs are male bodied character that just happen to have a vagina.

Base herm is for characters that have penis(es), vagina(s), AND some form of breasts.

Honestly I wish this was a thing. I don't mind "herm" characters that don't have balls, but I'm not personally a fan if they do. And, unfortunately, balls is so undertagged as to render it useless for the purpose of excluding it from the search.

Best tag we have for this type of thing is sackless, a tag for characters lacking testicles that aren't eunuchs.
