So this (The link above) broke the "Don't ask for free art" rule, but what I'm curious about is if it was one line from the whole thing, specifically this one, "For the record, STILL looking for stolen lewd art from her, and I could straight just ask her to provide the specific art for free, to me, individually, if I reason I can't afford it.... Which is like saying you're not greedy because you give a nickel to the poor, while owning a bank...."
Or if they're attributing the entire comment to breaking the rule, where even if that line didn't exist, would it still be breaking the "Don't encourage art stealing" rule. Go ahead and read the comment for contextual understanding.
Basically, I firmly argue that even if that one line definitely broke the rule (Even though its a non-furry artist completely unrelated to this site), the rest isn't encouraging theft of any kind, and is merely stating how foolish the idea of pay to see art content is fundamentally, and isn't encouraging theft in any way. That would be like saying if someone yells an alley is known for getting people stabbed, is encouraging people to stab people in that alley. Specifically, that pointing out its already happening is encouragement. Obviously wrong as that would only be encouraging to people who would already do it if given the chance to begin with.
I'm not here to reverse the neutral record or whatever, simply to get and spread some contextual understanding of limits and see what everyone else thinks on a general basis. Is it against the rules to mock paid content in general, basically? (If this thread already exists, or something heavily similar, please link it, I tried to find it if it exists, but failed.)
