Topic: What's the best way to tag age by looks?

Posted under General

I don't want to make people uncomfortable by accidentally not tagging something with young if it's technically needed.

but I also can't seem to tell what makes certain things get tagged young and not others that appear similar to me.

IE like this (All links are explicit so beware):

https://e621.net/posts/2289837?q=manitka_%28character%29 This is tagged young, but I don't know what constitutes it.

Like what makes it different visually than say

https://e621.net/posts/2161452?q=manitka_%28character%29

both of the same character and in a similar style, but not considered young.

tips would be appreciated!

EDIT: and is there any sort of lore tag for age at all? I don't think there is but I wanted to check because technically the character in the art is of age, but the artist's chibi style in addition to the small stature of the character makes them look a bit younger.

Updated

young is applicable to any character that appears to a baby to teenager.
Honestly, the second two should probably also be tagged young in accordance with this, but simply weren't, to begin with. Mind you, that's not to say every image of this character should be tagged young as each post should be evaluated on by what it seems to be in that particular post.

I think my main thing is I don't know what makes things look to appear young, is it the flat chest on the female art? or more like proprotions/style?

and I'll add young to those posts. Does it need cub too or just young?

If it's young and either anthro or feral it's supposed to have cub, but that's so barely-enforced I don't blame anyone who needs to ask.
