Topic: posting my art under a pseudonym

Posted under General

im interested in posting my own art here under a pseudonym, however, i don't intend to make the pseudonym a huge secret, and if someone discovered both artists it would be pretty obvious we are the same person

it may not make obvious sense why i would do this but i do have a reason

my question is with regards to tagging: i do not want the art i make under either name to be tagged under the other, i want the artist name tags to stay separate based one whether i post under the pseudonym or genuine name, ie. if i post under my genuine name i want it tagged as iceink and never the pseudonym, but if i use the pseudonym i do not want it tagged under my genuine name, only the pseudonym, what is the proper way to achieve this?

im also interested in associating some art i already posted with the pseudonym if that is at all possible

I recall an admin mentioning that this is something that is allowed, all you would need to do is create the secondary artist tag to upload under, or use the anonymous_artist tag. If you really wanted to go out of your way, I'm sure you could make a secondary account for the posting of the artwork related to the second tag. I'd just suggest avoiding favorites/votes with that account as to not accidently get yourself caught up in vote cheating.

If you find that something gets its tagged switched to iceinked or vise versa, and they proceed to do that after returning the tags to their desired state, I'm pretty sure you can report the image for tagging abuse and request an admin to lock the proper artist tag.

As far as already active content, if you don't want to use anonymous_artist and you already have the secondary name figured out you can add it to the related posts, and go to the ? beside the tag, click edit and re-catigorize it to an artist tag.

Yes, it is allowed. Several artists have separate tags for SFW and NSFW.

I know there's a well known artist that tends to have their NSFW art completely seperate from their SFW art, so that should be allowed.
