Posted under General

hello community,

F,39,mother,wife.
always interested in painting. did oil-paintings few years ago.
never was that good of an artist though.
anyhow, wanted to start digital drawings, bought digital drawing board. interested in furry.
first contribution got taken down, not meeting quality standards.

so made a new picture, worked on it for some days, put a lot of effort into it.

it is about to be taken down as well for not beeing high enough quality.
i therefore please ask for your honest, brutal feedback.
i want to become better! therefore, i need the truth.
am i just simply not good enough? characters not looking real enough? too real? just bad painting style?
please help me get better. high quality feedback and suggestions are most welcome.
cheers!

I think it is decent, especially for starting out, although I can see why it would be marked as not meeting the quality standards. I would recommend getting more practice with depicting anatomy as I see a few flaws in it, such as Judy's right hip being much further from her torso that than her left. I would also work on scene composition when doing detailed backgrounds. For example, the angle of the edge of the bed versus the counter by the wall; they don't line up well and each sort of gives a different feel for the overall shape of the room. There's probably a better way to word that, but I can't think of it right now.

Hope this helps!

It has indeed an amateurish side, but from my point of view it's fairly decent. (but, I'm no moderation here.)

The hair part and as Nromrore said, the general proportion could be worked a little more indeed, but with only 1 pictures it's hard to say much more.
