pretty much what it says in the title
I got an undeserved neg record cuz of a few totaly justified complaints about missing tags which I had blacklisted so now Im looking to get the record squared by talking to someone on the staff thatll actually bother listening to the issue
thing is Im not a smart man when it comes to this stuff so I dont know how to contact staff about this stuff =/
Thing is, you're not supposed to complain if there's missing tags. Complaining solves nothing, but the tags on a post can be edited by anyone. You could have just added them so your blacklist can work...

Yeah, complaining in the comments about a missing tag doesn't help anyone, especially for others who may also have it blacklisted and would appreciate someone adding the tag. It just gets in the way of people who are trying to enjoy or talk about the post. If it's a generally obvious and disliked tag for many people that a particular uploader habitually neglects, report the post to the staff so they can deal with them. Otherwise, adding the missing tag and moving on to other posts like is the best course of action.
In any case, if you want to contest a record you've been given, dmail the moderator who gave you the record, or the head admin NotMeNotYou, explaining yourself and why you think it was given in error. In their user page, there's a Send Message link where you can do so.
well the thing is I did add the tags before I even complained about it and tbh tags like male/male shouldnt be missing from posts in the first place -_-
I mean its such a basic tag to add and people on this site are getting so damn lazy when uploading....
I think the problem is less that you pointed out the missing tag, and more the incredibly aggressive manner in which you did so.
Will I agree he was overly aggressive in saying so, it still is dumb people miss basic important tags when tagging. But yeah, it's always a matter of how you say it

That's why I've advocated for additional tag categories, that make those tags missing very obvious. Right now, the pairing tags like male/male are in the monstrosity that is the general tag list, which makes it very hard to pick them out among the rest.
If we're going to have tags like 7_tongues, monotone_eyebrows and reverse_countershading, the least we could do would be to have somewhere more visible for actually important tags.

That makes sense. The "big" ones under one name, if only like "major" or something
when youve been on the site as long as I have and seen how lazy uploaders are with their tagging you eventualy get fed up with that shit.... so as I see it the ones who should be getting neg records would be the lazy gits who upload stuff with just a few tags or even no tags at all
also I agree we should have a seperate category for genders tags like male/male

I've been here nearly three times as long as you. Yes, you do get fed up with a lot of shit, and I certainly get that. However, it's still expected of us to be civil. You've trolled, insulted people, and refused to blacklist multiple times since July and gotten several warnings. You can't possibly be surprised that your behavior finally has consequences, can you?

Every uploader has a 15 tags restriction if I'm not wrong. So there are some restrictions for uploaders and also a minimum tag count for any post out there.
Some uploaders are lazy true but you have to take a few things into consideration:
-Where there any uploads you liked that had just a few tags themselves and are you happy that those got uploaded or would've you liked that it never got uploaded with that few tags to begin with?
-You are a part of the e621 community and e621 relies much on it's community. So before complaining about other peoples laziness you have to compare what you did offer the community.
-We are all humans and make mistakes. There might be 1 out of 10 or 20 or something that actually does it by mistake or doesn't know better but anyways consideration is and should be a big part of what makes us human too.
-Getting a negative record is a hint of someone else getting fed up with what you do.
-There are sometimes bulk uploads and tagging those is no easy feat.
I'm not saying you're in the wrong. Maybe you considered all this already and are right objectively. Subjectively though you should always keep or try to keep it civil(It's not always easy though).
Maybe it's not right to do it here but maybe e621 could include something like tags or tag groups where you have to choose from some options like for example "no pairing" where you HAVE TO choose something before you can upload.

Ok. That's IMO a bit less really. I thought having 15 was challenging sometimes but 4 could be raised IMO.

I've been pushing for a min tag raise to 10 for like a year now. Implications provide most of the tagging as is, especially around species and copyrights

Though honestly he's probably going to be on the staffs side who gave the record. Especially considering you were warned not to complain and use your blacklist before the neg.

Even for something like a monochrome sketch, 15's reachable (especially since monochrome and sketch are also tags); artist, character, # of characters (solo/duo/etc.), gender, species, background (white background applies too), pose, eyeline (looking at viewer/looking away), clothes, sexy bits, size of sexy bits, and so on and so forth. If it's not monochrome, then you also get to tag colors for all the everything in sight.

I should've added the if you are not familiar with tags. character, clothes and sexy bits + size are not available all the time. Also species and pose can be not so easy in some cases , too.
But all considered I agree with you. I thought 15 was ok. Now I think 15 would be ok.
Anyways I won't talk more about it here XS but I would give my +1 to a suggestion post for it.

I won't drag out the point either, but this post (nude, monochrome, bust portrait, rating:s) manages 30 tags.
