Topic: Do You Think E621 Will Ever Ban Explicit Cub Art?

We’ve seen, among companies like Google and among larger anime/hentai sites, an increased effort to ban, block, and restrict art under the general “lolicon” umbrella over the past decade. Even in the furry community, we’ve seen sites like FurAffinity completely ban cub art that doesn’t fall under the “general” rating. E621 has now restricted more controversial tags (including explicit cub art) to logged-in members. I think we’re seeing an overall trend shifting from this type of art.

I’m not taking a stance in this post, but rather asking: do you think E621 will ever outright ban cub art that’s explicit? If so, what do you think the user response would be?

I don't think they ever will unless the government of the site's host country creates some legislation banning it. In that case, I'd expect users to just be upset with the legislation and not the management.

Nope, e6 will continue to host it as long as the law allows it.
Most sites tighten down on the "lolicon/cub" content because they are businesses, and they have to keep it "sweet" for the merchants to avoid any controversy.

If I were to make a guess, a ban on cub art will most likely come from the higher-ups (i.e. Varka, the site owner) due to legal reasons/the law.
And the users will just have to live with it.
