Topic: Why is favcount not integrated into blacklist?

Posted under General

I have been creating a comprehensive blacklist but more often than not there is posts with maybe ~20 score and 100+ favorites. I just wanna see quality content only on e6, and every time I check through my blacklisted posts to make sure I'm not missing any, I see high quality stuff with a huge amount of favorites but low score. If there was a way to utilize the favcount:>X in blacklisting I could properly filter this content, but it isn't.

I don't have any experience in site-building, so if it is too hard to implement or some kinda server load stuff, then that is that. But from my amateur programming viewpoint it really looks like a small jump from taking it from searches to using it in blacklist, and it would be a useful quality of life upgrade for people who use the blacklist.

I never knew that range syntaxes couldn't be used for blacklisting.
Maybe your blacklist is contradicting itself? Usually images with high fav counts but low scores are updated versions of old posts, which the fav count has been migrated. So you'd be better off blacklisting by Favcount:<100 instead of by score?

It's not difficult to implement at all. I've done it pretty easily in my userscript.
Probably just an oversight.

You can't use favcount at all in the blacklist at the moment.
