There's been a lot of buzz in the furry community over the topic of characters that possess attributes of both biological sexes, on one side you have people saying that words like "futa" and "herm" are acceptable whilst "intersex" objectifies real intersex people, and then you have the other side saying that "intersex" is the most respectful term to use and that "futa" and "herm" are slurs.
I think the most neutral term of them all is "gynandromorph", it's a scientific term used to describe an organism that has attributes of both genders. They've even coined a term called "gynandromorphophilia" to describe an attraction to people/characters that have attributes of both sexes, and I feel like this is the word to rule them all, it just feels the most respectful and somehow rolls off the tongue better than "futa" or "herm".
Just my thoughts.
