Topic: Users continually mistag andromorph

Posted under General

As a big cboy/andromorph fan, most of the tag edits I've done have been removing the tag from art that never includes guys with vaginas. I'm not talking about cases of mistaken identity or flat-chested females, but art pieces that are otherwise tagged as non-trans/non-intersex, or gynomorph. I don't understand what users think the term andromorph means if not "guy with vagina", but it seems like it's conflated with anthro.

Is there any way to reduce the instances of ignorant mistagging? Perhaps a warning or brief popup explaining what andromorph and gynomorph mean when users are tagging? I'm just really annoyed that my ongoing search for new andromorph art invariably leads to a bunch of non-trans/non-intersex characters or gynomorphs, being the exact opposite.

If a user is falsely tagging a lot of images, you can report their behavior so that an admin can notify them of the tag's proper meaning.

It would probably be worthwhile to have a link to the "how to tag genders" wiki page on the upload form, I'd imagine that there are many people who upload here for the first time who have no idea what the words 'andromorph' and 'gynomorph' mean.

I agree.
Having a quick definition show up when hovering over gender tag buttons also wouldn't hurt.

I have the same problem. Whenever I look up “straight” and “-gay” together, I still end up finding posts with some aberrant gender having sex with a male or female, despite my blacklist having clear indications of those instances. People really do neglect the tags, so it’s best that they’re given instructions to do so, then are given a warning.

Personally, I’d try reporting those who neglect obvious tags.

I think people are confusing anthromorph with andromorph

I think this adds some wrong tags. But there are so many wrong used gender tags. I'd guess these are the most wrong used tags...
