Topic: [APPROVED] Tag implication: same-species_bestiality -> intraspecies

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I honestly don't see the point of the intraspecies tag. By definition, it's the inverse of interspecies, so to search for intraspecies of some activity, add -interspecies to the search instead. If the argument is that interspecies is often missing from posts that should have it, causing -interspecies to bring up posts that aren't intraspecies because it's missing the tag, a similar problem would exist with the intraspecies tag, where it would exclude posts that are intraspecies because it's missing the tag. If people don't think to tag interspecies, they won't think to tag intraspecies... and people who go around adding intraspecies would be more helpful to tag interspecies instead for the same effect.

Almost, but the interspecies wiki has exceptions:

They should always be from different family sub-classes (e.g., feline/canine, equine/cetacean, but not lion/tiger)

A good rule of thumb is if they can realistically breed offspring this should NOT be used.

intraspecies isn't automatically the opposite.
