Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: ass_crack -> butt_cleavage

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #53518 ass_crack -> butt_cleavage has been rejected.

Reason: The tag 'ass_crack' should redirect to 'butt_cleavage'.

The tag 'ass_crack' is pretty much unused right now, discouraging any extra tag contribution, while 'butt_cleavage' has around 500 tags so far.

I think 'ass_crack' is what most people would try to search first, only to find that it hasn't been used. I personally tried searching 'ass_crack' and was disappointed that it wasn't used, only to later discover (by pure chance) that 'butt_cleavage' was the correct tag.

I predict (and hope) that redirecting the tag will encourage people to start using the tag more.

EDIT: The tag alias ass_crack -> butt_cleavage (forum #316421) has been rejected by @bitWolfy.

Again, why not? Changes history shows 12 years of fairly consistent usage.

Ass_crack is not a valid tag, it does not have a proper wiki definition and is very underused (only 6 posts in total).
The term is also very subjective, two of the posts feature bare butts which conflicts with the definition of butt_cleavage (i.e., it needs to either be cleavage from clothing or from bottomwear slipping).

Better to either invalidate or manually fix the posts' tags.

I forgot to alias it to butt, much like butt_crack already is. I'll do it when I get home.

The long and short of it is that ass_crack and butt_cleavage are different things.
Ass crack is just the cleft between the buttcheeks. For example, post #2848577 qualifies for that.

On the other hand, butt_cleavage is specifically for cases where clothing frames the buttocks in such a way as to create something that looks like a cleavage.
Here's a decent example:
