Topic: [APPROVED] Tag alias: minerva -> minerva_(disambiguation)

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #55147 minerva -> minerva_(disambiguation) has been approved.

Reason: multiple characters using the name; there are 3 characters, with more than two art pics, currently using this name.
If someone were to put their artist/creator name next to them, that'd be cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a bunch of images of Minerva (Fire Emblem) getting dicked down by a wyvern, too.

The first one looks like it’s probably supposed to be the original Minerva

Or cosplaying as her (as the eyes are the wrong color). According to sources, she's supposed to be the OC of a Facebook friend of the artist.

Addendum: I think I found the right name off of Facebook for her creator. If I'm wrong, though, I'm sure to be corrected.

Even if it’s not a Minerva (deity) furrification, cosplayed characters still get the character tag. It looks like we don’t have a minerva_(deity) tag yet, but it would be appropriate to create one in that case.

True enough. However, I found no indication of why she was in that getup in any of the descriptions I found. She could have been cosplaying as the goddess, as an Amazon, or as a generic Greco-Roman warrior type for all I could tell.

Also, while we don't have a minerva_(deity) tag, we do have an athena_(deity). Minerva was just the Roman name of Athena, her older Greek name. So, going by e621's own rules for multiple names for the same character, we'd be tagging her as athena_(deity).

Good point on both accounts. It might be useful to alias minerva_(deity) to athena_(deity) to aid in finding the correct name.
