Is it me or has the rate of fanart of this generation's new species fallen off a cliff? It used to be that the Pokémon fandom prided itself on the efficiency of its Rule 34 implementation. Back when Gen 8 debuted I never had to create any new species tags, even for obscure stuff like runerigus, whereas I've done that twice in the last two days and one of those was for a generic-looking dog that furries normally lap right up.

I think Vaush put it best: "They made a Gardevoir no one would want to fuck."

Most of these Pokémon are just unsexy. It's like how Corsola has been around forever but has only 24 explicit pics here (I uploaded 4 of them myself)
But this is compounded by most of the new Pokémon being unknown until the game came out and the game itself being... well kind of bad. It sucked out a lot of hype.

Even stranger still, most of the art has gone to the Sprigatito family.
Quaquaval, Dolliv, Arboliva, Dachsbun, Espathra, the Pawmis, and the Tinkas have potential, but that cat has Lucario Syndrome.

Bumping this because it's getting tiring having to manually tag generation_9_pokemon on everything and I noticed that Meowscarada was selectively given an implication to that tag while every other 'mon is stuck languishing.
