Topic: [REJECTED] Scalie Kindred BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #7402 has been rejected.

create implication scalie_kindred_(onm11) (17) -> scalie (638099)
create implication scalie_kindred_(onm11) (17) -> alternate_species (36510)

Reason: I know that characters don't normally imply species tags because of alternate species, but this is a case where the character is an alternate species. I feel like this is a case where an exception should be made since the tag defines the character.

A similar case could be made for the various alien forms in Ben 10.

The character tags for the transformations (Wildmutt, Four Arms, XLR8, etc.) are used for when its clear that it is Ben (or another holder of the Omnitrix) transformed into that specific alien form, via the Omnitrix symbol and/or the black and white/black and green clothing.

Otherwise just the species tag (vulpimancer, tetramand, kineceleran, etc.) is used.

I don't think alternate_species should apply when it's an official/canon depiction. link_(wolf_form) isn't considered an alternate species. If it's an unofficial/non-canon form, I don't think it should have its own character tag and should instead be tagged with the normal character tag with the appropriate alternate_species/scalie/etc tags.
