:o is not a puckered mouth(lips?). It's more of an opened/gaping mouth, while :3 is more of a puckered mouth(lips?).

:3 isn't puckered mouth, it's cat face, since the 3 is parallel with the eyes.

(^3^) Would be puckering, since the lips are perpendicular with the eyes.

I was sure I killed this tag along with :) and :( a few months back.

EDIT: Looks like I did an implication instead. I'm still in support of killing emoticon tags in favor of actual words.
